Tragedy in Norway

WHEN: July 22, 2011
WHERE: Oslo & Utoya Island, Norway
WHAT: On July 22, 2011, right-wing extremist Anders Behring Breivik initiated a terrorist attack in Oslo, Norway resulting in the deaths of more than 70 people. After detonating a bomb in the city, Breivik shot and killed 69 people, mostly teenagers, on the nearby Utoya Island. In preparing for the attack, Breivik reportedly armed himself with ten 30-round magazines purchased from a U.S. supplier.
