Rep. Giffords Shot, 6 Killed, 13 Injured

WHEN: January 8, 2011
WHERE: Tuscon, Arizona
WHAT: A mentally unstable man armed with a 31 round assault clip walked up to an outdoor town hall meeting held by U.S. House Representative Gabrielle Giffords and opened fire. He killed six people and wounded thirteen others, including Rep. Giffords. The shooter, Jared Lee Loughner was only stopped when he paused to reload and was stopped by bystanders.
