On August 8, friends and supporters of the Brady Center gathered at a Board member's home for the Summer Soiree in Vineyard Haven on Martha's Vineyard.

We were privileged to hear Rose Styron, a long-time supporter of the Brady Center, read her poem, Assassin, and from Colin Goddard, a Brady Center intern and survivor of the shootings at Virginia Tech. We also heard brief remarks from Providence, Rhode Island Mayor David Cicilline and former U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Dr. Louis Sullivan.
